With the recent outbreak of the coronavirus (Covid-19), organizations globally have experienced disruptions to supply chain delivery and general business continuity in ways not thought about previously.
As a direct response to this outbreak, after consultation with the Therapeutic Goods Administration, we’ve taken a proactive approach to assist healthcare facilities in minimizing the impact caused by lack of medical mattresses due to increased number of patients or clients.
As such we’re making available an alternate medical device that can be used as a transient Class 1 Medical Device whilst still in compliance with section 41FN under the Therapeutic Goods Act 1989. This device is manufactured in Australia and ISO13485 accredited facilities.
The PHE – Green mattress requires no medical accessories, it has a maximum SWL of 200 kgs with a recommended therapeutic weight range of 50 – 150kgs. It is a dual-layered device intended to be used for adolescents and adults patients as a short term alternative mattress that will provide sufficient levels of pressure redistribution and comfort.
The product is treated with UltraFresh™ which is an antimicrobial treatment that inhibits the growth of bacteria and fungi and also offers odour control and protection from staining and product degradation.
The barrier surface on the PHE Green mattress is made from premium polyurethane textile, all seams are fully welded for infection control and to protect against ingress of fluids.
The cover comes with fasteners. The PHE Green is available in only one span but can be adjusted to a variety of bed frames and adapts to most patient positioning.
