Polyethylene Foam (PE Foam) is a flexible, resilient and lightweight chemically cross-linked closed-cell foam, with a firmer feel when compared to the softer EVA, especially PE45 – PE140 densities. Polyethylene Foam is a versatile, affordable, multifunctional material used for both domestic and industrial applications, from foam packaging and padding to expansion joints and filler strips.
PE Foam is a chemically cross-linked closed-cell foam, making it impermeable to water, moisture, fungi and bacteria. It features excellent mechanical strength, thermal insulation and chemical resistance.
Polyethylene Foam is very lightweight, compressible and flexible. It’s widely used wherever a shock-absorbing material or padding is required. Some examples include:
- Stiff Expansion Joint Filler – Concreting and Construction (PE140);
- Sports Padding (PE45);
- Tool Control and Tool Inserts (PE45),
- Custom Foam Inserts (PE45)
- Cosplay or Costume Making, where firmer shock absorption is required.
We can split larger blocks of PE foam, from 100mm standard blocks to any sheet thickness down to 3mm, at an extra cost. Consult us for custom thicknesses.
