Types of foam packaging

Ethafoam cut and designed as secure, cushioned packaging for a sensitive hard drive electronic

Standard Packaging

Standard packaging is commonly produced from a closed cell EPE foam or open cell 29-400 foam and generally used for single-use, low value products such as promotional items or gifts, or items which are not removed from their packaging often.

Premium Packaging

Premium packaging uses different materials such as Ethafoam, Neolon XPE or our Neofoam PE and EVA foams which provide greater protection.
Premium packaged products are generally of higher value and used regularly during their lifecycle meaning the foam packaging needs higher structural integrity.
Products commonly needing premium packaging include fragile or sensitive items such as glass measuring instruments, small electronic or consumer goods such as drones or monitors or high quality display samples.

Engineered Packaging

Engineered packaging is similar to our premium packaging in the use of materials but is more complex in its design and function.
Products using engineered packaging include sensitive laboratory, testing and electronic equipment as well as medical devices and high value products.
