Accelerated Age Testing

Neolon XPE foam has been accelerated age tested by our materials testing partner, UNSW, to over 20 years.

When compared to other NATA certified buoyancy foams which, when exposed to temperature cycles and moisture experienced in enclosed spaces can degrade after approximately 5 years, 20 year lifespan for Neolon XPE is unmatched.

Fire Retardancy

Neolon XPE buoyancy foam has been independently tested with the following results:
1. Flame spread index of 0/10 which indicates no flame propagation.
2. Heat release index of 0/10 signifying no heat release.
3. Smoke production index of 2/10 which is minimal smoke generation.

Chemical Resistance

Neolon Buoyancy foam maintains its exceptional flotation properties and adheres to its original specifications even after being subjected to extreme temperature fluctuations and immersion in substances like oils, high-octane gasoline, and kerosene (see test data).
